Honghe Comprehensive Bonded Zone

Honghe Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in Mengzi city — the capital of Yunnan's Honghe prefecture and the core area of the southern Yunnan. The zone is at the forefront of connecting South Asia and Southeast Asia and enjoys great cooperation potential.

With a total planned area of 3.29 square kilometers, the zone was approved by the State Council on Dec 16, 2013, being the first comprehensive bonded zone approved in Yunnan province.

The zone focuses on foreign trade, bonded logistics, cross-border e-commerce and bonded commodity transaction and has developed an industry system covering electronic information, commodity trading, logistics and distribution and financial transaction settlement.

In 2017, the zone reached a total non-electricity industry investment of 1.76 billion yuan ($263.55 million), up by 10.77 percent year-on-year; a total investment attraction of 2.86 billion yuan, a growth of 26.96 percent from the previous year. The zone realized an export-import volume of 13.95 billion yuan in 2017, up by 176.95 percent year-on-year, accounting for 57.04 percent of the total export-import volume reached by the Honghe prefecture, and ranking 19th among the 56 comprehensive bonded zones nationwide.
