According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, from January to May 2019, Newly Approved Foreign-invested Enterprises amounted to 16,460, down by 31.5 percent year on year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached USD 54.61b（RMB 369.06 billion）, up by 3.7 percent year on year.

According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, in May 2019, Newly Approved Foreign-invested Enterprises amounted to 3,421, down by 31.9 percent year on year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached USD 9.47b（RMB 63.83 billion）, up by 4.6 percent year on year.

From January to May this year, the top ten nations and regions with investment in China (as per the actual input of foreign capital) are as follows: Hong Kong (USD37.9b) , R.O.K.(USD3.14b), Singapore (USD2.48b) , Japan (USD1.73b), Taiwan Province(USD1.64b) , U.S.A. (USD1.44b) , U.K. (USD1.06b), Germany (USD1.03b), Macao (USD710m) and Netherlands (USD570m), total of which accounted for 94.7 percent of total actual use of foreign investment in the country.
