Wuzhong Comprehensive Bonded Zone

Wuzhong Export Processing Zone, established in June 2005 by the State Council, was the first national export processing zone set up in a provincial development zone and attached to district-level departments.

Located in the Wuzhong Economic Development Zone in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, the export processing zone has a planning area of 3 square kilometers, 1.38 sq km of which have been put into operation.

In March 2005, the zone was upgraded into a comprehensive bonded zone, which has promoted industrial upgrading and fostered four distinctive industries: high-tech electronic information, high precision mechanical equipment, efficient logistics services and high-end international trade.
