Jining National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone

Founded in May 1992, Jining National High-tech Industrial Development Zone covers an area of 255 square kilometers and has a population of 250,000. As a national high-tech zone approved by the State Council in 2010, it is also an innovative industrial cluster and a pilot region for talent management reform.

With the advantages of a solid industrial foundation, abundant human resources, well-established supporting facilities, perfect public platforms and a leading business environment, the zone has set up four national industry bases for engineering machinery, photoelectricity information, biotechnology and new textile materials. Several Fortune Global 500 companies and major Chinese enterprises have launched projects in the zone.

In the first three quarters of this year, the zone made 42.68 billion yuan ($6.21 billion) in regional GDP. The total output value of large-scale industrial enterprises and total exports and imports hit 86.22 and 7.95 billion yuan respectively, making it a top-ranking high-tech zone in Shandong province.
