Weifang Export Processing Zone

Located in the east of Weifang, Shandong province, Weifang Export Processing Zone enjoys convenient transportation advantages, with a number of highways, national roads, railway stations, airports and harbors within a 20 kilometers radius. Additionally, the zone lies near the Qingdao and Jinan International Airports, 120 and 180 kilometers away respectively.

Approved by the State Council on Jan 25, 2011, the zone has a planning area of 35 square kilometers, which is divided into the south and north sections. Relying on Qingdao Airport and Qingdao Port, the south section mainly works for local enterprises in Weifang and neighboring cities, while the north depends on Weifang Port and serves the northern coastal regions.

Featured bonded processing, bonded logistics, cargo trade, service trade and virtual port, the zone is expected to drive the economic development of the whole city, even the whole province.

Enjoying numerous preferential policies such as a tax refund policy, a free value-added tax policy and fast-track procedures, the zone witnessed a sustained growth in economic benefits, and  the total value of the zone’s imports and exports reached 7.38 billion yuan ($1.07 billion). its revenue of major business hit 6.55 billion yuan.
