1.      South Section of the Development Zone (Automobile industrial park ) 

1)  South Section of the Development Zone

Built in 1992 on a planned area of 22.08 square kilometers, it is among the first batch of State-level development zones. The development zone focuses on six major industries, including automobiles and auto parts, equipment manufacturing, power and electronics, biomedical technology, new materials and high-end services, encouraging the growth of emerging industries and high-tech enterprises. 

2)  Automobile Industrial Park

Located in the south of Jilin with a total area of 17.08 sq km, the Jilin Automobile Industrial Park was established in June 2009 upon the approval of Jilin provincial government. So far it includes one auto manufacturer and more than 50 auto parts enterprises. 

2.      North Section of the Development Zone

With a planned area of 108 sq km, the zone is committed to accelerating science and technology service sector and high-tech R&D and business incubation.

In 2017, Jilin National High Tech Industrial Development Zone contributed 14.82 billion yuan ($2.14 billion) to the regional GDP, an increase of 0.1 percent. The added value of industries above a designated scale reached 6.17 billion yuan, realizing fiscal revenue of 2.16 billion yuan. Fixed asset investment was 23.98 billion yuan. Total retail sales of consumer goods reached 10.73 billion yuan, up by 6 percent year-on-year. Total investments the zone brought in amounted to 15.16 billion yuan, up 12.6 percent, including $128 million of foreign capital, up 2.4 percent.
