Ordos National High-tech Industrial Development Zone

Founded in January 2003, Ordos National High-tech Industrial Development Zone was approved to be a national-level development zone in February 2017. The zone is located in the downtown of Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with a planned area of 120 square kilometers.

With a focus on the development of emerging industries, including cloud computing, big data, energy efficiency, new materials, new energy and health care, the zone is dedicated to building an innovative industrial system to lead the region’s industrial restructuring. 

As of Oct 25, 2018, there were 430 firms registered in the zone, including JD Group, China Telecom and Tunlan Investment. 

In 2017, the zone had income from sales of 762 million yuan ($109.8 million) and its fixed assets investment reached 320 million yuan. In addition, 125 new firms were registered in the zone and 48 projects were introduced with total investment volume of 14.6 billion yuan.
