Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality opened its new International Cooperation Center in the Digital Economy Industrial Park, Zhaomushan district, on Nov 7.
Established in 2010, Liangjiang has been striving to become China's inland door to the world, said Li Guangrong, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area administrative committee, as he addressed the opening ceremony.
He hopes more agencies and institutions will open offices in the international center.

The center is not only a cluster of foreign business agencies, but also a window for international trading and cultural events, according to Li Qian, director of the municipal office of foreign affairs.
Part and parcel to Liangjiang's overseas cooperation strategy, the center will be a hotspot of international exhibitions, investment promotion and information exchange.
Liangjiang International Cooperation Center is close to Zhaomushan Forest Park, with a total office area of 16,000 square meters. Restaurants, cafes, theaters, museums and hotels are available in the commercial area.

The center will also accelerate the area's construction of industrial parks jointly operated with investors from Singapore, Germany, Italy, Japan and South Korea.
