Longnan Economic and Technological Development Area

Longnan Economic and Technological Development Area, previously known as Longnan Industrial Park, was established in July 2000 and upgraded to a national economic and technological development zone in March 2013.

By the end of 2013, the area had occupied 931 square kilometers, and attracted 253 companies from home and abroad. Its total industrial output value was 16.97 billion yuan ($2.5 billion) and industrial added value was 4.47 billion yuan.

At present, the area is striving to become a world-renowned green lighting industry base for rare earth luminous materials, an export base for domestic toy manufacturing, an important food and drug production base in Jiangxi, an influential textile and garment production base and an electronic information industry base in Jiangxi, and intends to become a national zone at a higher development level.
