Zhenjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone

Zhenjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, previously known as Zhenjiang Export Processing Zone, was established in March 2003 under the approval of the State Council. Its total planned area is 2.53 square kilometers. In December 2015, the zone completed its construction with the provincial authority’s acceptance inspection, making it ready for full operations.

In 2013, the zone ranked 18th in the comprehensive evaluation index of national economic and technological development zones, and 17th in the list of top 100 national development zones with the most foreign investment attraction in China in 2014. In 2018, the zone was officially approved as a pilot program for general taxpayer qualification of enterprise value-added tax in the State customs special supervision zone.

At present, the zone is targeting development both in the domestic and international markets. Its strategy is to use its advantageous location to develop a modern industrial agglomeration zone, a cold chain logistics center with important influence in the Yangtze River Delta, bonded commodity warehousing and a distribution regional center and renowned e-commerce hub center.

There are currently more than 60 projects under construction in the zone, which has formed an initial trend of industrial agglomeration of food cold chain logistics, bonded logistics, new materials, new energy and electronic information, giving it unique competitiveness, huge potential and broad prospects.
