Fuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone

The Fuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone grew out of the Fuzhou Jinchao Economic Development Zone that was founded in August 1992.It was upgraded to a national high-tech zone in February 2015.

The zone administers an area of 158.6 square kilometers and it has developed an area of 18 sq km. The zone was home to more than 280 industrial companies with more than 36,000 employees.

It boasts the new-generation information technology industry where leading companies include Jiangxi Senhong Technology. Among its other advantaged sectors are automobile and auto part (including new-energy vehicles) and biomedicine.

The zone’s main business income was 45.2 billion yuan ($6.69 billion) in 2017, a year-on-year rise of 10 percent. Its exports reached $306 million that year, a year-on-year increase of 10.4 percent.
