Xinyu High-tech Industrial Development Zone

The Xinyu High-tech Industrial Development Zone grew out from the Xinyu City High-tech Economic Development Zone that was founded in November 2001.

The planning area of the new zone is 100 square kilometers. It is home to more than 400 industrial companies, with 42 high-tech ones.

Leading industries in the zone include new energy, new materials, opto-electronic information, equipment manufacturing, medicine and food. It has built six parks including a new-energy industrial park and a steel and equipment manufacturing park.

The zone is developing eight industrial clusters —photovoltaic, lithium battery, LED, new materials, equipment manufacturing, touch control, metal pressing and also medicine and food.
