Yingkou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone

Yingkou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, located in Yingkou, Liaoning province, was established in 1992. Approved as a provincial high-tech zone by Liaoning government in April 1994, it was upgraded to a national high-tech industrial development zone approved by the State Council in September 2010, and was listed as a region with national prioritized support in Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt in October 2010.

The zone takes up a planned control area of 20.47 square kilometers, attracting 420 enterprises and 29,800 employees. Currently, equipment manufacturing, new materials and digital industries in the zone have grown rapidly, and the five industrial clusters covering ship, textile and garment, equipment manufacturing, petrochemical and electronics have begun to take shape.
