Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone

Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Nanchang High-tech Zone), founded in March 1991, was approved as a state-level high-tech zone by the State Council in November 1992. It is the first state-level high-tech zone in Jiangxi province.

High-tech Zone is located at the east gate of Nanchang with an area of 231 square kilometers and a population of 500,000.

It has jurisdiction over Changdong Town, Maqiu Town and Aixi Lake Management Office. It has developed an industrial area of about 70 square kilometers.

At present, the high-tech zone has 6,000 enterprises of all types, 15 the world's top 500 enterprises, and 21 listed companies.

Industries in the area include aviation, electronic information, biomedical, new materials, intelligent equipment, new energy, software and service outsourcing.
